Comparative & Superlative
استخدم صيغة المقارنة لمقارنة شيئين، وصيغة التفضيل لمقارنة شيء بالبقية في مجموعة. الصفات القصيرة تأخذ -er/-est، والطويلة تستخدم more/most. الصيغ الشاذة تشمل good/better/best و bad/worse/worst.
متى تستخدم
استخدم المقارنة (+ than) لمقارنة شيئين أو شخصين. استخدم التفضيل (the + est / the most) لمقارنة شيء بجميع الآخرين في مجموعة.
الهيكل
Short adj + -er + than / the + adj + -estThis bag is cheaper than that one. It's the cheapest in the store.
هذه الحقيبة **أرخص من** تلك. إنها **الأرخص** في المتجر.
more + long adj + than / the most + long adjShe is more talented than her sister. She is the most talented in the class.

Irregular: good → better → best / bad → worse → worstToday's weather is worse than yesterday. This is the worst day of my life.

قواعد الإملاء (HE/SHE/IT)

الأخطاء الشائعة
She is more tall than me.
She is taller than me.
الصفات القصيرة (مقطع واحد) تستخدم -er، لا "more"
This is the most good film.
This is the best film.
"Good" له تفضيل شاذ: best (وليس most good)
نصيحة
قاعدة عامة: صفات ذات مقطع واحد → أضف -er/-est. صفات بثلاثة مقاطع أو أكثر → استخدم دائمًا more/most. صفات بمقطعين → يعتمد (راجع القاموس أو احفظ الشائعة مثل "happier" و"more useful").
