There is / There are

Usa "there is" para decir que algo existe o para describir un sustantivo singular o incontable. Usa "there are" para sustantivos plurales. En preguntas, invierte sujeto y verbo: "Is there...?"

Usa "there is/are" para introducir o anunciar la existencia de algo. Es muy común para describir lo que hay en un lugar o para indicar que algo existe (o no existe).

Consejo

El verbo "is" o "are" concuerda con el sustantivo que le sigue, no con "there". Así que presta atención a lo que viene después: "There IS a dog" (singular) vs "There ARE dogs" (plural).
